CSU-56 @ UNLV-80

The smoking hot Rams rolled into Sin City with confidence after a crazy comeback against Wyoming. UNLV had a fire extinguisher at the ready as the Rebels extinguished Colorado State 80-56. CSU started hot but could not find that comeback spirit that’s been with them most of the season. Here’s my 4 Hull Show standout moments of the game.
1. Tip your hat to UNLV: After a slow start that that saw a quick 9-0 run by CSU, the Rebels hit 9 three pointers in the first half and finished with 10 total in the game. The bench was one of the biggest factors for Vegas as they outscored the Rams 33-20.
2. Missed free throws: The Rams shot 12 of 25 from the free throw line. Not much more to say about this one……..
3. Live and die by the 3: Colorado State has done most of their damage from the 3 point line this year but couldn’t convert against UNLV as they shot 4 of 14 from deep.
4. DON’T PANIC: This a tough loss to take but keep in mind the Rams came into this one winners of 11 out of 14 and are very young. It was only a matter of time until a bad game plagued CSU. Perhaps a loss like this can give Colorado State a quick wake up call before Mountain West tournament play begins.
