As we round out the 2021/22 NBA season, the Denver Nuggets are simply looking to stay out of the play-in game and lock up at least a 6th seed in the Western Conference. However, the surging Minnesota Timberwolves are not going to let Denver simply run away with a sure spot in the post-season.
Currently, the Nuggets are holding onto that 6th seed by a game and a half and while they certainly have the easiest remaining schedule, Minnesota could cover some very important ground later this week when they visit the Mile High City. Both teams could very well land in the top 6 with Utah and Dallas teetering, but first things first. The game between the Nuggets and T-wolves will likely insure at least one of them avoids a play-in.
