Football Announces 2022 Schedule

GREELEY, Colo. – A new year means new opportunities. For Northern Colorado football, that’s what they will get in 2022. The Bears have finalized their 2022 schedule announced on Tuesday.
Third-year head coach Ed McCaffrey and the Bears host five home games in 2022 while heading north to face FBS opponent Wyoming early in the season.
The 2022 season starts at home with UNC hosting Houston Baptist on September 3. Northern Colorado defeated the Huskies in Houston in 2021, 45-13.
UNC heads north the next week to face Wyoming on September 10. The team’s first trip to Laramie since 2013.
The remainder of the home schedule is filled out with Big Sky games against Idaho State (Sept. 24), Montana State (Oct. 15), UC Davis (Oct. 22) and Northern Arizona (Nov. 12).
On the road schedule, Northern Colorado makes first-time trips to Lamar (Sept. 17) and Idaho (Oct. 1).
Northern Colorado returns All-American David Hoage along with All-Big Sky honorees Grant Stephens (OL), Kassidy Woods (WR) and Joe Golden (DE).
