BOISE, Idaho – A pair of Bears earned All-Big Sky honors announced by the conference Monday morning. Bodie Hume and Matt Johnson II were both named to the third team.
For Hume, it is his second All-Big Sky team honor and Johnson II his first.

Hume ranked 17th in the conference in scoring (13.36 ppg) and in the top 10 in rebounding (7th, 6.64), steals (5th, 1.50), three-pointers made per game (5th, 1.93) and blocked shots (t7th, 1.00). He scored 10-plus points in 11 of the team’s 14 Big Sky games including a pair of double-doubles. Hume has earned Big Sky recognition all three of his years, Freshman of the Year in 2019, second team in 2020 and third team in 2021.

Johnson II put together a career year with strong shooting and the ability to find the open shooter. Like his teammate Hume, Johnson II finished in the top 20 for scoring and top 15 in multiple categories. He averaged 13.86 points, 2.85 assists and 2.43 three-pointers per game to rank 12th, 13th and third respectively. Johnson II scored in double figures in 11 of 14 Big Sky games played by the Bears and eclipsed the 20-point mark four times.
