Colorado gave a top 5 team just about as much as they could handle last weekend. However, the Buffs couldn’t close it down and lost to Texas A&M 10-7. The Aggies played most of the game without their starting QB but it was clear CU could hang with them regardless. Head Coach Karl Dorrell is steady in the boat and it appears his players are buying in, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
A nice test awaits the Buffs on Saturday when the Minnesota Golden Gophers pay a visit to Boulder. Two weeks ago, they gave Ohio State their best shot but couldn’t seal the deal and lost momentum after halftime, losing 45-31. Both programs will look to earn an early winning record and go 2-1 to start the season.
Can this CU defense continue its dominance? So far, they’ve only given up 17 points between the Aggies and the UNC Bears. Led by Nate Landman, Colorado is showing early signs of being a top D in the Pac 12.
