FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Highlighted by a visit from Southeastern Conference opponent Vanderbilt and a trip to Big Ten opponent Iowa, Colorado State announced the complete 2021 football schedule on Thursday.

In announcing the schedule, Colorado State released “To The Toughest Among Us,” featuring 12 individuals or groups in and around Fort Collins and Northern Colorado who have exemplified all of the same ideals of head coach Steve Addazio’s “Ram Clash” motto. Themes of toughness and perseverance were on full display over the past season, and the program wanted to, in a small way, pay homage to the hard work and sacrifices of so many.

While the team’s first four games were known, the eight Mountain West games were announced publicly to complete the full 12-game slate.

Following four non-conference games, the Rams will enjoy a bye week before eight-straight vs. Mountain West opponents. Colorado State opens the conference schedule at home against the defending league champion San Jose State on Oct. 9. It will be the Spartans first trip to Canvas Stadium since the opening season in 2017.

After consecutive road trips to New Mexico (Oct. 16) and Utah State (Oct. 23), the Rams host Boise State on October 30.

Following a visit from the Broncos, the rivalries ramp up as Colorado State will defend the Bronze Boot and aim to keep it in Fort Collins when they travel to Laramie on Nov. 6 and host Air Force on Nov. 13.

The Rams close out the regular season with a trip to Hawai’i on Nov. 20 and hosting Senior Day vs. Nevada on Nov. 27.

Special game designations such as Ag Day and Homecoming will be announced at a later date, and all dates are subject to change based on television designations. Following TV assignments, kick off times will be announced.

Colorado State Athletics, in line with the University’s declared intent to return to in-person learning in the fall of 2021, has the intent of returning fans to athletic venues including Canvas Stadium to cheer on the Rams. While heathy and safety officials and the most current data will ultimately lead all decisions, the department is expecting to be able to fill Canvas Stadium to capacity in 2021. Season tickets are now on sale for the six-game regular season slate, and fans can get more information at CSURams.com/Tickets or by contacting the ticket office at 800-491-RAMS (7267) or RamTix@colostate.edu.
