Colorado Set As No. 3 Seed in Pac-12 Tournament

BOULDER – The University of Colorado will be the No. 3 seed at the 2021 Pac-12 Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament scheduled for Mar. 10-13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Colorado will play the winner of a first round game between No. 6 Stanford and No. 11 California in quarterfinals on Thursday, Mar. 11. The game will air nationally on ESPN and broadcast by KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM.  The Cardinal and Bears will meet Wednesday night at 8 p.m. MT (Pac-12 Network) for the right to face the Buffaloes on Thursday.

Colorado, ranked No. 24 in last week’s Associated Press Top 25 Poll, finished the regular season at 20-7 and in sole possession of third place in the Pac-12 at 14-6. This will mark Colorado’s first ‘bye’ and best seed in the Pac-12 era and best conference tournament seed since a No. 3 spot in the 1996-97 Big 12 Championship.  The Buffaloes tied for third place in the 2013-14 Pac-12 regular season standings but were the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament.
