GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Football welcomed 15 newcomers on Wednesday as a part of National Signing Day. They break down to 10 on offense and four on defense plus one on special teams in a kicker.

Ezra Ekuban | OLB | 6-2 | 200 | Parker, Colo. | Regis Jesuit HS
One of the top talents in the state on defense is staying home in Ezra Ekuban. The product from Parker, Colorado played at Regis Jesuit High School. There he was a three-year varsity letter winner. He also competed in wrestling and track. Ekuban was his team’s Special Teams MVP in 2021. He also is a first team All-Academic team member.

He is the son of Karen and Ebenezer Ekuban. His dad played in the NFL for 10 seasons for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos. Ekuban’s sister, Natalya played on the UNC volleyball team from 2015-17.

Ekuban chose Northern Colorado over San Diego, Chadron State and CSU-Pueblo.

Shea Kuykendall | QB | 6-1 | 205 | San Pedro, Calif. | Long Beach Poly HS
Northern Colorado signed one of the top quarterbacks from the state of California in Shea Kuykendall. The three-star prospect according to 247 sports was ranked the No. 18 pro-style QB by ESPN. The All-League Offensive Player of the Year also earned CIF All-State honors. Kuykendall won multiple Player of the Week awards passing for 2,840 yards and 34 touchdowns his senior season. For his career, he passed for over 7,000 yards and 76 touchdowns.

Kuykendall chose UNC over Eastern Washington, Drake, Harvard and Dayton among others.

Tremell Harrell | DB | 5-10 | 180 | Baton Rouge, La. | El Camino College
Tremell Harell was a four-sport athlete at Belaire High School lettering in football, basketball, track and bowling. During his senior year, he was a first team All-Defense selection and first team All-Flex selection. He went on to play at both Fresno City College and El Camino College for a year before making his way to Greeley.

Tywonne Harris | DB | 5-10 | 180 | Baton Rouge, La. | Butler CC
Another product of Baton Rouge, Tywonne Harris makes his way to Greeley from Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. At BCC he had 40 tackles, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups. Harris attended Belaire High School alongside Tremell Harrell, lettering in football, track and soccer. He was a three-time All-District cornerback accumulating 194 tackles, 13 interceptions, 20 pass breakups and two touchdowns.

Harris picked to attend Northern Colorado over Presbyterian and Northwestern State.

Christian Wren | LB | 6-4 | 235 | Lehi, Utah | Lehi HS
Christian Wren is a three-star prospect on 247 sports coming out of Lehi, Utah. The linebacker accumulated 201 solo tackles and 320 overall. He led the nation in tackles for all high schools in 2020 finishing with 144 tackles.

He chose to attend UNC over Valparaiso.

Joseph Lankford | TE/Ath | 6-3 | 230 | Waxahachie, Texas | Waxahachie HS
Joseph Lankford will be a tough match-up for teams in the Big Sky with his size and versatility. He finished his senior season with 12 receptions for 255 yards and two scores. Lankford led the team with an average of 21.3 yards per catch. He was a multi-sport athlete at Waxahachie HS.

Aidan Moe | OL | 6-7 | 285 | Parker, Colo. | Ponderosa HS
Aidan Moe comes to UNC ready to compete and help the Northern Colorado offensive line from Parker, Colorado. A two-sport athlete he played football and track. Playing at Ponderosa only his junior and senior year he was named the team’s Lineman of the Year in 2021. He earned second team All-Conference in 2020 and followed it up with first team in 2021. The Mustangs won the league title in 2020. The Moe name may sound familiar to fans as the son of Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach Daryle Moe.

Moe was also recruited by San Diego.

Isaias Sierra | OL | 6-2 | 300 | San Francisco, Calif | Diablo Valley College
A San Francisco native, Isaias Sierra comes to Greeley after spending time at Diablo Valley College. In his time there he was a first team unanimous All-Bay 6 selection. A graduate of Pittsburg High School, he was a two-time unanimous first team All-BVAL selection. He was also a two-time All-Bay Area and All-NCS selection. He was the team’s Lineman of the Year as a junior and MVP during his senior season.

Sierra chose to be a Bear over Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, Western Illinois and Tarleton State.

Xavier Brown | WR | 6-2 | 180 | Cedar Hill, Texas | Cedar Hill HS
A three-star prospect from Cedar Hill, Texas, Xavier Brown will look to make an immediate impact for the Bears. The 6-foot-2 wideout helped Cedar Hill HS to the 6A playoffs in 2021 after transferring there from Mesquite Horn HS. He earned second team All-District in 2020.

He chose Northern Colorado over Connecticut, Colorado State, Kansas and New Mexico.

Trevis Graham | WR | 6-1 | 190 | Arlington, Texas | Texas State
A transfer from Texas State, Trevis Graham bring FBS experience to the UNC receiving group. He had 73 catches for 949 yards and nine touchdowns to earn Pro Football Focus Sun Belt Conference honorable mention. Graham graduated from Lake Ridge HS where he was among the top 82 recruits in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. He helped the team to the 5A state quarterfinals.

Graham chose to come to Northern Colorado over FAU, Buffalo, Sam Houston State, Lamar, Missouri State and Montana State.

Kyle Helbig | TE | 6-3 | 250 | Broomfield, Colo. | Colorado State
A Holy Family graduate, Kyle Helbig makes his way from Fort Collins to Greeley as a transfer. The tight end scored 45 touchdowns in his high school career including 22 in just his senior year. He was a first team All-Colorado selection by Mile High Sports Magazine and for class 3A.

His brother Chris played at Southern Utah while his sister Taylor played basketball at Colorado School of Mines.

Blake Haggerty | WR | 5-10 | 175 | Castle Rock, Colo. | Castle View HS
The three-star Colorado product chose to stay home and play for Northern Colorado. He helped Castle View earn a berth in the 5A playoffs as a senior. He chose UNC over Colorado School of Mines, Drake and San Diego.

Hunter Green | K | 6-4 | 190 | Redmond, Wash.| Lake Washington HS
The big leg of Hunter Green comes to Colorado to kick in the thin air for the Bears from Washington. A two-sport athlete he lettered in football and soccer. He was a first team All-King Co kicker and punter as a senior. He won multiple special teams player of the week honors.

Green picked UNC over Oregon State.

Ranked one of the top running backs in Colorado, Northern Colorado will benefit from the signing of Brye Vaz. From Parker, Colorado, he helped Legend High School to the 5A semifinals in 2021. He rand for 1,718 yards, 2,138 all-purpose yards and 26 touchdowns to earn first team All-State honors. Vaz has familiarity with the UNC staff having played at Valor Christian before going to Legend.

Vaz chose UNC over CSU-Pueblo, Fort Hayes State and Western State.

Jacob Sirmon | QB | 6-5 | 230 | Bothell, Wash. | Central Michigan
The former No. 1 prospect in the state of Washington and No. 2 pro-style quarterback in the nation is headed to Greeley. Jacob Sirmon transfers to UNC from Central Michigan after spending a year there. He passed for 734 yards and six touchdowns playing in five games for the Chippewas. Prior to CMU, he was at Washington for three seasons, redshirting in 2018 before seeing limited action in 2019 and 2020.

In high school, he was a first team All-State selection earning league MVP along with Offensive Player of the Year awards. Sirmon was a top 40 prospect across all the major recruiting outlets.
