OGDEN, Utah – Heartbreak in Ogden.

It’s not the first time for heartbreak inside the Dee Event Center for the Northern Colorado men’s basketball team, but it never gets any easier.

A missed game-winner and foul with 0.7 seconds left sent Weber State to the line where they made the one free throw they needed to break the 59-59 tie and escape with the win.

Kur Jockuck had another monster night for the Bears with a 15 and 15 double-double including a pair of clutch free throws with 18.4 left to put UNC in the lead 59-57. Twelve of his 15 points came in the second half.

A foul and two Weber State free throws set up the late-game dramatics.

In the first half, each team traded punches early on, first UNC with an 8-0 run as Daylen Kountz started hot with seven of the team’s first 12 points.

WSU responded with a 10-0 run themselves to reclaim the lead.

Neither team led by more than two possessions over the final 10 minutes of the half and within a possession over the final [6:16].

It was more of the same in the second half as the largest lead belonged to Weber State with [13:50] left in the game.

Jockuch scored six straight to help UNC get back within two and Bodie Hume and Matt Johnson II connected on a pair of threes to reclaim the lead for Northern Colorado.
