BOULDER, Colo. – Northern Colorado men’s basketball played well in spurts but could not find its rhythm on Monday night against Colorado.
The Bears kept it within eight through the first 10 minutes of the game, but then the rhythm went away and Colorado took advantage with a 16-0 run. That run would put the game out of reach the rest of the way, but the Bears kept fighting throughout.
Northern Colorado stayed neck and neck with the Buffs during the early parts of the second half. Sam Masten and Bodie Hume combined for 14 points during the first 10 minutes of the half.
Hume ended up leading the Bears with 11 points.
