With just 16 games left in the 2021 season, the Denver Nuggets continue their push for a top 3 seed in the West. Currently, the L.A. Clippers are holding down #3 and are 2.5 games ahead of Denver but if the Nuggets can keep winning they can certainly make things interesting down the stretch.
This week, Nikola Jokic and the Mile High crew will have to get past one of their rivals, especially over the past few years, the Portland Trail Blazers. Damian Lillard is listed as day to day with a hamstring injury but should be a go by Wednesday. Portland is a playoff team but they’d like to get as far away from that 7th seed as possible and beating the Nuggets at home would go a long way.
The Joker continue his MVP quest, averaging a triple double in the month of April but most “experts” agree, if he wants to lock this thing up and become the first Denver Nugget to do it, his team will need to be a top team in the conference. The only question there is; what constitutes a top team? 4 seed? 3 seed? Higher? Only one way to be sure…..keep winning.
