The Broncos are on a two game winning streak that involves beating an NFC favorite on the road. Denver went into Jerry’s World at 4-4, without their legendary pass rusher, questions swirling all around about the future of the coaching staff, key players and of course, ownership and found a way to beat the Cowboys in Dallas. After General Manager George Paton did his best to convince us that the Broncos still had plenty to play for in 2021, most of us were simply not convinced.

Color me convinced now. The Broncos put the hurt on a really good Dallas football team to the tune of 30-16. The run game was cooking with Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon combining for a massive 187 rushing yards. Pair that with an elite defensive performance, some outstanding grabs by Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick, and some beautiful throws by Teddy Bridgewater, and you got the perfect game inside what was perhaps the biggest win for Denver since SB 50.

However, we have seen a movie kind of like this for the Broncos. Over the past few seasons we’ve seen a team that looked like they were out of the playoff race for good, only to pull off some nice wins to at least get them back in the post-season conversation. In 2018, Denver was 3-6 but found a way to win 3 in a row and put themselves back in the thick of it. Then promptly lost the next 6 and cost their head coach, Vance Joseph, his job.

Denver hosts the 3-6 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and created a wonderful opportunity for themselves. A win here would not only keep the Broncos in the playoff picture, but also in the mix to win the AFC West.

Find a way to go 6-4 before a bye week then prepare for a monster game against the L.A. chargers on November 28th (Future game of the week).

However, lose this one, and all that momentum gained in Dallas over the weekend will fade away and put Broncos Country right back to calling for changes from top to bottom.
