The Buffs are in a tricky spot as we approach the end of the season. At their best, they could be the type of team that could go far in the NCAA tournament, at their worst they could lose to a bottom dweller in California like we saw over the weekend. Last year was a very similar story for Colorado as they managed some huge wins against teams like Dayton and Oregon but we also saw them lose their final 5 games of the season, including the first round of the Pac 12 tournament to less than stellar Washington State (the Pac 12 conference tournament was able to begin before Covid shutdown the rest of college hoops).
The chances of winning the regular season title in the Pac 12 are all but gone, however, they can still build on their resume and improve upon their March Madness seed with a win over Oregon, currently 3rd in the conference.
