Clifford Exchanges Black & Gold for Green & Gold
Nique Clifford joins CSU men’s basketball
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Nique Clifford is trading in his Black & Gold apparel for the Green & Gold. The 6-6 guard from Colorado Springs transfers from Colorado to CSU with two years of eligibility remaining.
Clifford played 82 games during his three seasons at Colorado, including starting 50. He averaged 5.4 points and 3.6 rebounds over his career shooting 33.8% from three-point range. He was an impressive 40.0% from behind the arc his sophomore season. Clifford averaged 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds this past season, scoring 13 points when the Rams visited CU.
The Colorado Springs native attended The Vanguard School where he was the 2020 Colorado Gatorade State Player of the Year. Clifford was a two-time first team All-State selection.
He left Vanguard as a four-star prospect ranked No. 92 overall by 247Sports. Rivals rated him as the 29th best shooting guard in the nation.
Clifford joins Joel Scott as one of two transfers to join the program along with high school signees Kyan Evans and Rashaan Mbemba.
